This is a film made by two film makers from the Czech Rep who had recently graduated. They received a government grant to make a film. Instead of doing something obvious for the country they decided create a huge hoax. They employed a marketing company to advertise all over Prague for their "Hypermarket" for the grand opening and ribbon cutting. Funny thing is, it doesn't exist.

This film really shows how gullible the consumer is and how much trust we put in brands without question. This film really shows what happens when this trust is broken and the reaction of the consumer.

This is my first blog so I'll use this post as an opportunity to introduce myself and kind of explain what I'm all about. I am a 4th year product design student at grays school of art. I started this blog to help stay organised with my honours project which i am currently running at the moment. My project title is trust in objects. I am studying peoples relationships with products whilst also looking at it from a branding angle. At th e moment it is unclear what I am going to produce at the end of the year, but hopefully it should become clearer as time progresses.
